Pilipshen Colon & Rectal Surgical Services has a New Jersey licensed and nationally Board Certified Colon and Rectal Surgeon, Stephen J. Pilipshen, MD. His training included Cornell Medical College (NYC), New York Hospital (now New York-Presbyterian, in NYC) for his General Surgery Residency, Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center (completing a  Surgical Oncology Fellowship), and the Cleveland Clinic for his Colon and Rectal Surgery training and Fellowship. He has practiced in the Burlington County area and been on Active Staff at Virtua at Memorial Hospital, Mount Holly, since 1984. He currently serves as President of the Medical Staff(2010/11) and Chief of Surgery (2005 to present) at Virtua-Memorial Hospital Mount Holly, New Jersey. He has served on the Board of Trustees (2010/11) at Virtua Health. Dr. Pilipshen is listed as "Top Docs of 2011" in SJ Magazine, and in US News and World Report's "Best Doctor Rankings for 2011-2012," in the specialty of Colon and Rectal Surgery. 

Pilipshen Colon & Rectal Surgical Services specializes in Colon and Rectal Surgery, Proctology, and Colonoscopy. Dr. Pilipshen serves Burlington and the surrounding South Jersey Counties. His office is in Moorestown, New Jersey. Office hours are by appointment. Screening examinations for colon cancer are offered.  His practice includes the surgically focused treatments for colon and rectal cancer, diverticulitis, Inflammatory Bowel Disease (Ulcerative Colitis and Crohns Disease),  and Proctologic Disease (Hemorrhoids, fecal Incontinence,  and Fissures/Fistula/Abscesses) to name but a few. Many of the colon and rectal diagnostic/screening and proctologic treatments/procedures are office-based. His outpatient and inpatient hospital based surgical procedures are solely conducted at Virtua-Memorial Hospital, Mount Holly, New Jersey.
